Are children welcome?
If you know Embolden, you know the answer: Of course they are!

This sounds too good to be true: Food, fun, prizes. Will I be asked to make a donation?
No! This is all about Embolden and its partners giving back.

Why are you holding this party?
We at Embolden are celebrating our 10-year anniversary and we know how important the New England nonprofit community has been in our success as we primarily serve the community foundation, nonprofit and professional services sectors.

As Embolden President Ann-Marie Harrington said: “The nonprofit community, here in Rhode Island in particular, has given Embolden a tremendous opportunity to provide service - and to grow into a positive force for good. With this event, we celebrate the community, 10 years of doing business, and a bright future that allows us to continue giving back locally and nationally.”

Are you really giving away prizes?
It’s true! We, along with partnering businesses, are donating “A Radical Makeover: RI Nonprofit Edition!” that is worth at least $20,000. Additionally, talented businesses in the community have donated 15 other prizes.

How can my nonprofit win the grand prize?
The name of the winning nonprofit will be drawn from a raffle. Each party-goer will get a chance to put the name of his or her favorite New England nonprofit into the raffle and the name of the winner will be drawn at the party.

How can my nonprofit win the other prizes?
The name of the winning nonprofits will be drawn from a raffle. Each party-goer will get a chance to put the name of his or her favorite New England nonprofit into each of these 15 raffles and the names of the winners will be drawn at the party.

How many times can I enter the name of my nonprofit in the raffle?
Each party-goer gets one chance to enter the name of nonprofit in each raffle. So, if 5 people come to the party from your organization, for instance, you’d have 5 chances to win the grand-prize raffle and 5 chances to win each of the other 15 prizes that have been donated.

What if I don’t belong to a nonprofit? Who do I nominate for a prize?
We will post the names of nonprofits attending the party, if they would like us to, as suggestions.

If I’m not affiliated with a nonprofit, can I attend the party?
You sure can. Please fill out the RSVP form.

Will there be good food? Drinks?
Of course! The party is being catered by More Than a Meal, an Amos House micro-business.

Will there be entertainment?
Yes. Christopher O'Neill has generously donated his time to this party. He is a talented and accomplished pianist, currently on the faculty of the Rhode Island Philharmonic School of Music. He is a graduate of the Boston Conservatory whose repertoire includes classical, jazz, and performance piano. Chris also writes and performs original music.
