 04-28-03 Embolden to Partner with Boys and Girls Clubs of Providence in a Web Development Program In 2002, Embolden designed and produced a website for the central office of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Providence (www.bgcprov.org). Part of the the plan was to create websites for each of the clubhouses throughout the city based upon input by members of the clubs themselves. As the idea evolved, Embolden instead proposed conducting after-school web development workshops for club members interested in trying their hand at web development. Working with the Wansckuk club, Embolden will begin conducting interactive workshops this June. Students will learn the basics of web design and development, working in teams to create mini websites for each of the clubs in Providence.  |
