New Site for the National Education Association of Rhode Island (NEARI)
Embolden Design, an award-winning web development and consulting firm, is amplifying the state's premier voice for educators through a new site it created for the National Education Association of Rhode Island (NEARI).
NEARI, a chapter of the National Education Association, is a union and professional membership organization with 11,000 members across the state of Rhode Island. Its new site, www.neari.org, is rich in content and communicates directly to a broad constituency that includes organization members, parents, officials, retirees, reporters and future teachers. Through an intuitive navigation and intelligent architecture, site users can access member benefits, receive up-to-the-minutes news, learn about NEARI's legislative and political agenda, read good news about Rhode Island's public schools and much more.
Remarked Ann-Marie Harrington, President of Embolden, "The NEARI is a vital and multifaceted organization in this state. With the creation of its new website, we have considered its many important roles and audiences and synthesized them into a highly effective marketing tool which clearly communicates everything they do."
As a union, NEARI provides traditional collective bargaining assistance to its 74 local associations, and representation to its 11,000 members in work-related issues. Members include teachers, education employees, higher education faculty and staff, state and municipal employees, and retirees. As a professional organization, it provides services such as research and training to support these members in achieving excellence in their employment.
