What Sheryl does at Embolden
Sheryl oversees the content, design, and social media teams and takes the lead on usability and user-experience consulting. Sheryl is also very involved in Embolden's quality assurance process, as well. Not much project work goes on that doesn't cross her desk; though, she leaves the programming to the professionals.
What she did before
Sheryl was a theatre and film nerd before becoming a computer geek. She spent nearly a decade as a researcher and personal assistant to an uber-nerd: the amazing doctor/author Oliver Sacks. She holds a bachelor’s degree in theatre and film from Columbia College Chicago and a master’s degree in interactive telecommunications from NYU.
When Sheryl’s not working
“I like to give my brain a rest and work with my hands -- painting, doing yard work, organizing messy spaces, fixing things -- and I enjoy cooking for friends and family.”
